SagaFest

For SagaFest René and I designed, directed, built and celebrated the design of the on site identity of the festival. We created landmarks for the different areas with the animals that are found everywhere around the Stokkseyrarsel Farm, where the festival was held. We built everything with mainly waste material from the area. We made signposts, sheep on high legs, a raven, a horse, furniture, sinks, the ticket booth, etc.

I was especially SO happy to be building with my hands and wood again. I hadn’t touched it in years and I felt my hands took me where I needed to: sculpting with wood.

SagaFest is a transformative arts and music festival in Iceland that promotes sustainability and community building. It was held May 23-24 2015. For upcoming dates, check the site!
