In June 2014 the Rabobank Hockey World Cup was hosted by The Hague, the Netherlands. There were a lot of festivities and events during this period. The tournament was situated in the Kyocera Stadium, just outside the city. To make a stronger connection between the tournament and the city of The Hague, Plein in The Hague was transformed into the ‘Haags Hockey Plein’ (‘the Hague Hockey Square’). On this square all matches were broadcasted live, a little field was placed for schools around and for the streethockey finals. There was a stage with a full schedule of events, music and performances.
With zootz I designed the visual style and all graphic expressions of the Haags Hockey Plein. Also the large part of the communication of The municipality of The Hague. Here you see a selection of pictures of my work. For an impression of the whole tournament in The Hague, we made this online book (takes a while to load…).
